Why you must have a Purpose within Exercising

In my experience, I have used a variety of workouts and mental motivations to accomplish a body type that can compete within any sporting event and to dominate when the opportunity presents itself within that event. I believe that if you are going to train the body then it should be for a purpose. Purpose can drive a person to reach goals that are above average. In this process, a certain focus can be developed to “keep the I on the prize” that a routine practitioner of exercising without a purpose will not have. Weight loss, Mobility, Stability, and other goals are commonly used within personal training assessments to give goals for the client to obtain and adhere to a program. This process is common, and I believe this is an average purpose to focus on. What is the best motivation for a person to change their lifestyles? Acknowledgement of one’s lifestyle habits that are affecting their ability to reach goals physically and mentally. A huge way for a person to accomplish these goals is to look themselves in the mirror and see what physical limitations exist and what is needed for a change to obtain that lifestyle of their choosing. To achieve such a task, except accountability of your present situation and discipline yourself for the continuous process of growth, mentally and physically, to reach your goal. Sounds Great but for what is the PURPOSE?

Safety for oneself and others has always been a priority. The ability to defend and protect has been a human basic need since our existence. Often individuals will look to a weapon or another external source for reliability in a situation that can be threatening towards their lives. Bushido are the ethics and moral guidance that the Samurai and other warriors would follow to keep their mental and spiritual energy stable. Many practitioners of the combative arts around the world follow a code of moral guidance. The lifestyle of an individual with this demand of defending and protecting can have serious repercussions, so an ethical code was usually adopted for a great way to cope with that burden. Also, physical training kept one’s abilities sharp and reliable. Consistent training and discipline created warriors such as Bruce Lee, Miyamoto Musashi, Muhammad Ali, Ghandi, and even professional athletes use some format of moral guidance to keep them discipline on their quest for that purpose. You need purpose to maintain your body and mind as it has been well documented by the late Koby Bryant, Serena Williams, Lebron James, etc

Martial Arts gives the best platform to grow for physical, mental, and spiritual results. From Boxing to Yoga, you can find styles that best fit your abilities and hone them to the point that safety for yourself and others will be answered through your training. Your body will adapt to the training and the abilities that you will obtain will translate into any sport or activity you choose, guaranteed. Professional athletes that train in one of the many Martial Arts programs have raved about their experience and how it has helped them in their profession or in their careers. The purpose in Martial Arts is to achieve balance within the Yin and Yang spectrum and apply that to an everyday lifestyle. Sapien Art Fitness is Martial Arts. I developed a system that gives a progression in mental and physical training that will go beyond achieving a six pack. I’m still a student of Martial Arts and with that I have found my purpose. Thank you for reading my perspective on Purpose and Why you need it to obtain the lifestyle of choice.
